親世帯が営む鍼灸院を併設した3階建ての二世帯住宅。

都市部の限られた敷地で、家族全員のプライバシーを尊重しつつ、昔の町屋の大家族のように相互扶助しながら暮らせる住宅を目指した。建物中央の階段は各階をつなぐ家族の交流の場でもあり、アーチ状の天井でハイサイドライトからの光を建物全体へ導く役割も果たす。Stay Gold は“ずっと元気で過ごして下さい” と去り際の挨拶として使われる言葉である。家族がこの場所で住んでいくにあたり、黄金の太陽光とともに永く元気で住んでいけるようにと願いを込めた。

A three-story, two-family house with an acupuncture and moxibustion clinic run by the parents’ family.

On a limited site in an urban area, we aimed to create a house where all family members can live in mutual support, like a large family in a traditional townhouse, while respecting the privacy of all family members. The staircase in the center of the building serves as a place for the family to interact with each other, and the vaulted ceilings allow light from the high sidelights to penetrate the entire building. It is a wish that the family will be able to live in this place with golden sunlight for many years to come.
